there is a method to this madness

WATCHED a rosebud very long
Brought on by dew and sun and shower,
Waiting to see the perfect flower:
Then, when I thought it should be strong,
It opened at the matin hour
And fell at evensong.

-- Christina Rossetti - Symbols

I remember studying this poem in my last year of school and thinking how beautifully sad it was. But in the end, the verse stands for everything, we bloom in warmth and happiness and wilt when it's all over; but really, we're just resting, waiting to see what tomorrow brings.
Or if you're a creature of the night like me, it may work in a reversed cycle :) ha.

Just thought I'd do a big post of recent images that really inspire me. Hope you like them as much as I do. x

(p.s. How beautiful is my little sister? ...)

Christina Rosetti writes the most beautiful poems. My favourite of all is 'Remembered', so sad! I love the dream catcher photo. x
