you're no plain jane

Jane Birken, the wondrous, beautiful, timelessly stylish Jane Birken. How can you not love her? The infamous muse, model, musician and lover (to Serge Gainsbourg no less!!) of the swingin' sixties was so wonderful, that even Hermes fell in love with her; hence the Birken bag. (Although, i have to say, I do lovelovelove her trademark wicker basket, if not even a little more than the Hermes.)

Ugh, Charlotte and Lou are so lucky; to have such blessed genealogy.

I think, at the moment, Jane is my most influential style muse.
