Harvest Moon

The harvest moon is in its cycle. Celestial creatures dance in autumnal reds, under falling leaves and a creeping full moon.

My birthday just passed, everything feels a little out of sync all of a sudden, but I'm going to put it down to the stars. Being a Libra, I honestly believe life is about achieving the perfect balance. Do you ever find that you relate all too well to your horoscope? It's kind of unnerving.
I've just started a new job ... the hours are so long and tiring, but I shouldn't complain, because at the end of the month, i'll treat myself to an extra special shopping spree. Unfortunately, it means I'm sucked dry of energy. So ... apologies for the lack of posts. I'll kick my butt into gear and start posting regularly again.

Promise.

I'm on the hunt for the perfect maxi skirt at the minute. Has anyone seen any they can recommend?
Right now, I'm loving layers, black chiffon, dark eyes, bonfires, wild things, ethnic print ponchos and shrugs, the crunching of autumn leaves under your feet, thick cable knits sweaters in camel and burnt orange ... and the fact that people no longer stare at me when I wear my scarves everywhere.

I am just home from a short trip to Carlingford, Co. Louth in Ireland. Oh my, oh my, what a beautiful, quaint and lively little village. Full of cottages, little wooden fishing boats, crumbling castle walls, blooming boutiques and pub lined streets adorned with festive bunting.
I was devastated that my DSLR hadn't quite made it into pack, but ... there will definitely be another visit, so I'll capture the little town for you then.
I'm so tired right now, so I'll post some photos taken on my phone tomorrow :)
Hope everybody's having a wonderful time. I do love the autumn transition time.

I don't know if you've noticed or not, but I'm really loving tumblr right now.
If you don't know what tumblr is, step out from under your rock :)
and check out my favourite top 6 ...

and for style inspiration:

and while you're at it, hit me up :)

I also don't know how i possibly forgot to mention this, but the lovely culture inspired bloggers at AtTheSinema asked for my input for their Summer sounds B-Side.
It was a hard choice for me to pick just one song that represented my summer, but I feel I chose well.
Check out the post and download the whole blogger playlist here!
If you like music/film/fashion/art, or, all of the above, I seriously recommend you check out their blog. It's got a wonderful collection of interviews with up and coming bands and artists :)

Thanks again AtTheSinema, for choosing me as one of your lucky bloggers :)

A session of boredom plus photobooth, equals the random images posted above. My first personal post in a while.
On another note, I dyed my hair ... it's dark brown, but in light, it may as well be black; I feel its a little harsh for my skin-tone, but hopefully, fingers crossed, it'll wash out and into a more natural and suitable colour soon.
I'm nicely stuffed from a sushi lunch. It was payday today, so I'm off out to celebrate :)

Completely besotted by the sweet and sultry Mountain Man:
Their album Made the Harbor is just so beautiful.

the wild hunt

Let loose your hair,
Tumbling down your spine
Drifting; dancing
Upon a zephyr, sweet.
Seek your spirit
Dare to dream,
Grant its wish
Child, sing, sing, sing...

Be wild today.
